Lucity supports your favorite technology
In my last 13 years as a software engineer I’ve experienced many ways to deploy software.
In the good ol’ days I copied files via FTP to our server running under the desk. This was tedious and painful. But I’ve always appreciated the control I had over the infrastructure. It was truly mine.
Years after that I stumbled across Heroku and Vercel. Simply connecting your repository and watching how your code was shipped felt nothing short of magical. It was a joy to use.
But soon I realized that this simplicity came at the cost of giving up control and sovereignty.
In my next job I was introduced to containers and, eventually, Kubernetes. A fascinating system designed to handle thousands of containers. It was immediately obvious: It was built to grow.
But that focus on scalability made it too complicated for most software developers who simply wanted to ship software.
I’ve built Lucity to combine the best parts of each of those solutions into one platform.
So sign up, deploy your first app and let me know what you think of it, after you’ve used it for a bit.

Each of Lucity’s competitors has pretty major tradeoffs.
We call this the Software Deployment Trilemma. Read the blog post.
Lucity can bend the software deployment trilemma, thanks to its unique ejectable architecture. lucity eject to native Kubernetes the moment you outgrow it.
lucity ejectAll the building blocks for deploying and running your apps. Built on standard, open tools, so you can eject whenever you want.
Connect your GitHub repo, push, and watch it build and go live. No Dockerfile or YAML required.
Provision replicated, highly-available PostgreSQL, Redis and S3-compatible Object Storage in one click.
Deliberately designed to be lock-in free. Want to leave? Download the full Helm chart, build config, and values for your app and run it anywhere.
Spin up more replicas or give them more power. Enable auto-scaling for turbulent workloads.
Every deploy gets a live URL on a built-in platform domain, instantly. Bring your own custom domain when you're ready to go live.
AGPL-3.0 licensed. Self-host on your own Kubernetes cluster. Built on Helm, CloudNativePG, Valkey, VictoriaMetrics, and friends.
